RSVP: ghostscommittee@gmail.com STOP PRESS: Ghosts’ AGM 2010 This year’s AGM is being held in the Farley Room (upstairs) at the Electric Theatre on the 30th April 2010, 7:45- 8pm start. Please put the date in your diary. You will be notified of all the details as the date draws nearer. Non members are welcome to attend but are not able to vote. Please send any nominations for committee to Ghosts’ secretary, Vanessa Wheeler. All nominations should be from within the group and will require a proposer and seconder that are also paid up members of Ghosts. Please ensure that the nominee is willing to stand. NEWS FLASH!!! Come join Ghosts for our first new musical read through on Sunday 18 October… Ghosts will begin reading through new author’s works occasionally on Sundays at The Keep, 29 Castle Street, Guildford. Our first read/sing through will be a new version of The Pirates of Penzance called The Harlots of Henley adapted by George Riddell. Anyone is welcome to join in the with the lusty chorus singing – please come to the rehearsal at 4pm, upstairs at The Keep. If you would like more information email ghostscommittee@gmail.com. As they say "due to matters beyond our control" we have had to change the date for the next choral concert. The new date is Saturday, 7th June 2008 at Holy Trinity Church, High Street, Guildford, and not May 17 as advertised in the Re:Creation programme. The programme is very exciting as I am proud to annouce that we are once again supporting our local composers. This time we will be singing music by Timothy Ball! The programme will look something like this: Te Deum (Coronation) by William Walton (to be cofirmed) Tim's music is very different to David's. I can't say it is more exciting or better but it certainly gives you a buzz! Fuller details will be published in the next Newsletter but please note that rehearsals will be on Mondays and Thursdays starting at the end of March/beginning of April. I look forward to seeing you at rehearsals; please let Richard know that you will be joining us.

Auditions are now complete for Jekyll & Hyde but we still need a few more men for some of the smaller roles.
